October 15 Oklahoma City's Wettest YearLast night we had a cold front come through Oklahoma City bringing severe thunderstorms. We received more than one inch of rain putting our year to date rain fall at 53.34 inches. This makes 2007 the wettest year in history; At least since they started recording in the late 1800's. Oklahoma City usually gets around 34 inches of rain annually. I love rain so I am very happy to have the wet year. It only reached 100+ degrees two or three times this year making it cooler than normal also. So much for the global warming craze. This picture was a screen shot captured from the National Weather Center in Norman, Oklahoma. October 14 NWS Norman, Oklahoma - Enhanced Weather PageLooks like a nice afternoon for severe weather. I am hoping it gets started before bed time since tomorrow is a work day. I love severe weather and I am hoping to have some noisy weather. |
